I want my children
Dear Pastor,
I have seven children, but some of them are living on their own. I got involved with a man. I didn't have anywhere to live, so I went to stay with him.
The father of three of my children came into the yard with his machete and held me from behind and decided that he was going to chop me.
I went down to the river to wash some clothes and I heard one of my sons crying so I asked him what was the matter, and he said cow buck him in his face. I went to the police station and told them what happened. Until now, I didn't get any good answer from the police.
Someone tried to help me with the children and the father took them away. I used to get PATH money for the children and I used to pick coffee to help me to support them. I even wash for people. Then, I got the news that one of my babyfathers died. Since that other man carried my children away, I have not seen them.
My brother doesn't want the man I am with in the house. My sister took away my mother's television and gave it to somebody. I want the man who took away my children to be locked up. He got the people to remove my name and put his name for the PATH programme money. He has the baby. He cannot nurse a baby. He beat me and took the children away. My sister helped him. He abuses the nurses at the health centre when he carries the baby to the clinic. Everything is getting bad. After abusing me, he wants to come and have sex with me.
I went to the station because one morning I left and he came and squeezed my neck and punched me in my head. The police did not help me. All the police are fighting against me. He leaves the baby with people who can't manage. One of the little boys says that he is hitting him on his head. I carried the police to where the children were and he told the police that he is the caretaker. My sister set him on me and the two boys want to leave him. The two boys are not his. I want to get my children back.

Dear Anonymous,
I suggest that you report this very serious matter to the Child Protection and Family Services Agency. You are clearly not happy with the action of the police. You feel you have not been treated right. So you can have someone assist you and write a letter to the commissioner of police and lay your matter before him. I doubt very much that he would ignore you. I am sorry to hear about your problems. Please let me know if you are making progress in this matter.
Pastor
