Looking for Mr Right

January 07, 2022

Dear Pastor,

I am a regular reader of your column. I am 26 years old. I am writing to you to help me find a 40-year-old man who is ready to marry and settle down.

I am single and have one daughter; she will be nine this year. I am working now but sometimes life gives me a warm time, but I still won't give up. I am looking for someone who is loyal, honest, jovial, loves attending to me, kind, nice and one who is working and is willing to make ends meet. He has to be able to discuss anything with me. He must be business-minded.

S.S.

Dear S.S.,

You are a young woman and you only have one child. You shouldn't find it difficult to find a partner. I have observed that you want someone who is much older than you are. Perhaps you are like some girls who prefer to have older men in their lives. You have to be very careful because a man in his 40s may still consider you as a 'gold digger'. And let's face it, what is your main reason for wanting a man in his 40s? Is it that you feel he would treat you better than a younger man and that you will also feel that he would not run around with other women? Well, let me tell you. Whether the man is young, middle-age or old, you should go through premarital counselling before you say 'I do'.

I publish your letter and if anybody is interesting to be with you, I will let you know.
