Man charged for attempting to extort woman for sex
February 22, 2016
A man who allegedly extorted a woman because he wanted sexual favours will have to wait until his next court appearance in March before his fate is decided.
Charged with extortion is Akimo Blackwood.
When the matter was called up recently in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court the accused pleaded not guilty.
The court was told that Blackwood reportedly asked the complainant for sex but his request was denied.
The court was further told that upon being denied, Blackwood allegedly said he was going to shame the complainant by telling people she did adult things to him.
Blackwood staunchly denied all the allegations.
He is to return to court on March 18.
