Murdered vendor identified

The vendor who was shot and killed yesterday in Ferry District, St Andrew has been identified.

She is 34 year-old Latoya Richards, of Greater Portmore, St Catherine, and Ferry District.

A man was also shot and injured in the same incident.

Reports from the police are that about 12:40 p.m., Richards was among a group of persons sitting at her stall, when armed men drove up in a motor car.

The occupants opened fire, hitting Richards and the man.

The injured were rushed to hospital, however Richards died while being treated.

The man was admitted in stable condition.

The Duhaney Park police are investigating.
