Cops searching for injured thief

The police are now combing the Half-Way Tree area as well as hospitals and clinics in search of a suspect who was shot by a licensed firearm holder while trying to make off with a stolen cell phone along Half-Way Tree Road. 

Reports from the police state that earlier this afternoon, the suspect tried to make a speedy getaway after stealing the cell phone but was unsuccessful as he was shot by the firearm holder. 

The thief reportedly dropped the cell phone and jumped into the nearby gully where he escaped. 

The police have searched the gully and surrounding areas but are yet to locate the culprit.
