For the third time in a year, scores of vendors at Rae Rae Market on West Street, downtown Kingston, were left devastated after millions of goods went up in flames early this morning.
"Jesus as we try rise, them tear we back down and each time it happen, not even a pound a nail mi nuh get. We pay market, stall and shutter fee and at the end of the day, mi still lose everything. Mi start over until me tired and mi really don't know how mi a go make it this time because a the first mi ever lose so much," a woman lamented.

According to a report from the police's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), about 3 a.m., the Darling Street Police and fire fighters responded to a call that the market was on fire.
No was injured in the blaze. However a number of stalls were completely destroyed. No estimate is yet to be given for the damage.
Last August, the market burnt to the ground and approximately three months later, history unfortunately repeated itself.
Although the cause of today's fire is yet to be determined, some vendors theorise that it was deliberately set.
