Shooting incident at St Catherine bar leaves two men dead

A shooting incident at a bar in St Catherine led to the death of a farmer and an alleged gunman on Tuesday night.

The deceased are 20-year-old farmer Jam-manii Letts, also known as 'Zungo', and 'Zeng' and Odane Jeminson, otherwise called 'Mawga Dawg'. Both are from the Cocoa Ridge, Bellas Gate area of St Catherine. 

About 9:20 p.m. Letts was at the bar when Jeminson entered and allegedly pulled a gun. A struggle ensued between Jeminson and patrons which led to the gun going off, fatally shooting the farmer.

Both were transported to the Spanish Town Hospital where they succumbed to the injuries  sustained during the attack.

A Beretta pistol affixed with a magazine with 12 rounds of ammunition was reportedly recovered from the scene.

The Spanish Town Criminal Investigations Branch is investigating the matter.
