Fake friends dem ... Only check you when dem in need

Yes, friends and brethren, I admit that it's not really a nice thought, but I know some people who, when they call me on the phone or shout me on the street, the first thought that pops in my head is the question, 'what dem want now?' You know some people like that too, don't it? Talk the truth, man, I'm sure I'm not the only person who has that experience.
Fi real, peeps, I know you have certain friends and associates who only check you when they have wants or needs. They never link you to give anything; not even lickle prayers or blessings. They're the people who never extend a hand of genuine greeting or spirit of support. No man, they just extend the hand of 'mi want' or the spirit of 'gimme'.
But what to do? Most times they maybe they just don't know any better. And it's not really a good idea to punish people for their ignorance. So I just continue to try and help as much as I can. I also use the experience as a reminder to myself to make sure I don't do the same thing to other people. That's why I keep working at making a habit of showing love and appreciation to my friends and family. And I want to encourage you to do the same.
Try and not take the affections and generosity of people who care for you for granted. And don't allow ungrateful or unconscionable people to make you get fed up with doing good.
Just gwaan do good deeds yah. And don't do it with the expectation of a truckload of thanks or a trailerload of rewards. Just do good because doing good feels good.
Yes, goodly peeps, the Good Book encourages us in Galatians chapter 6 verse 9 to never be weary of doing good, because in due season we will reap. Yeah, man. Same so!
