Sean De Vere signs overseas contract
Hardcore dancehall artiste Sean De Vere's career is on a blast. The Magnum King and Queen of Dancehall 2014 third-place winner has inked a lucrative management contract with New York-based company 100 Degree Records.
The May Pen, Clarendon, singjay, is putting the finishing touches to his debut EP. He said his exploits in the dancehall competition endeared him to a massive throng of new fans.
"Career-wise, things are looking pretty good. I have signed a multi-year music contract with 100 Degree Records and I am in the final stages of the production of my debut EP, I am Sean De Vere, which will hit the road very soon," the Kingston College old boy told The STAR.
"Magnum has played a major role in my career, giving me a platform to grow my music. So I have basically taken advantage of the opportunities with a number of new releases that are doing pretty well, locally and overseas."
Released new tracks
The talented artiste said since participating in the competition, he has released a number of new tracks, including Eyes Pon Me, One Don, Sky The Limit, Feel About You, How Long and Hustle, among others new tracks.
"Right now I have a number of new tracks blazing on the road. Favourites like Eyes On Me and One Don is well known to my fans, and both are doing well on the radio stations, at parties and on the street," he shared.
While crediting his growth as an artiste to his Magnum success, the singjay, who studies nautical science at the Caribbean Maritime Institute, pointed to his management team of Dalferine Gordon (mother) and Prudence Gordon as instrumental in his artistic maturity.
