Edwards headlines May Pen gospel show
High-flying gospel's artistes Jermaine Edwards and Carol Carridice will headline tomorrow's Devine Revelation Outreach Ministry (DROM) fund-raising gospel concert at the Cross Primary and Junior High school in Clarendon.
Edwards and Carridice will be joined by a host of artistes, including Shalom, Junior Edwards, Mario Christe, Sister Prudence, Pastor Carr, Soldiers for Christ, Yvonne Walter, Elizabeth Bellgrove, Oshane Williams and Devine Destiny Worshipper, while Love 101's Nadine Blair will do MCs duties.
In explaining the special concept of the concert, the organisation head, Deloris Beckford, says apart from musical blessings, patrons will also be ministered to by an anointed man of God. And patrons' patronage will ensure that the poor and physically challenged will be taken care of.
"We are a charity organisation and we have been doing a number of charity works in the past. To date, DROM has adopted a ward at the May Pen infirmary, We are also in the children homes," Beckford told THE STAR. "Therefore, fundraising is critical to our charity work, and we are appealing for the public support as we follow Christ's commands to feed his sheep and keep them close to the food."
"The regular food and refreshment will be on hand while the artistes do their thing, however, for this concert, we have pull out all the stops to have Pastor Dexton Burton and the Palmetto Garden SDA bring words of blessing," Beckford promised.
