Afro-German reggaeton star Kingseyes recently visited Jamaica to promote his album 'Curiousity'.

He has been able to make an impact given the early buzz on lead singles Mamacita Bonita and Step by Step, produced by Christopher Birch (Birchill Records) and Collin Hines.

A video for Step by Step received regular rotation on TVJ and HYPE TV. The album topped several iTunes' reggae charts weeks after its release, and based on that, he led a successful tour of Gambia recently,

Kingseyes, who moved to Germany from Nigeria in 1993, says his musical identity was fashioned from his exposure to a mixture of cultures throughout his lifetime.

"My sound is reggaeton, a potent blend of Jamaican reggae and dancehall, Trinidadian soca, Latin American salsa, and electronica that appeals to a large group of fans all over the world," he said.

While in Europe, Kingseyes had also explored many professional fields including business and law, but as with many musicians, he soon realised that he could not ignore his true passion. He launched his professional career by recording and performing with pop band Dream Beat in 1996, which gained some recognition with hit single Dreaming of You, and he has not looked back, choosing instead to charge forward on his musical journey.

Currently signed to independent label Nicbay Records/Jugglerz Records, Kingseyes wants to inspire change in the world. "I want to take my music worldwide, I want to inspire, revolutionise, and break all barriers," he said.
