Kosmik Consciousnez releases EP

Roots rock, conscious recording artiste Kosmik Consciousnez's newly released EP, 'Ites Up', is now officially in stores.

The France-based, Ahoe Records'-produced and easy listening set is also available on all major download sites.

The young Rastafarian reggae singer, in expressing his delight at the release and his expectation for the new project, says the EP is his announcement as a bona fide conscious reggae's artiste whose musical journey evolved from a long pilgrimage.

"It is an eight-track project, with seven vocals and one dub version. There are also three collaborations on the project with Timoy and I on Distance Lover, while Koro Fyah and Vanessa Lee is on What Will You Do," the soft-spoken singer told THE WEEKEND STAR.

RURAL AREA STUDIO

The song writer said while all the rhythms were built in France by Ahoe Records, the bulk of the tracks were laid at Rural Area Studio in Tollgate, Clarendon, except for What Will You Do, which was recorded at Bebble Rock Studio in Kingston.

He also shared that following the mixing and mastering of the EP, he commissioned a listening session in Kingston and received great reviews from selected persons who sampled his music.

"After the final cut, we have a listening session for other

people to give me a feedback, and so far, the session was good with excellent reviews," insisted Kosmik.

The former Rasta Camp recording artiste, who listed his main influence as Kabaka Pyramid, pointed out that the music is experiencing a renaissance of cultural awakened with a number of Roots Rock artistes coming to the fore.

"There is a renewing of positive values within the music fraternity, and Ites Up was crafted to be a part of this positive vibration," declared Kosmik.
