Sielle craves success after collab with Sean Paul

Toronto-based singer Sielle has her eyes set on conquering the music world following her recent collaboration with Grammy-winning artiste Sean Paul.

The single, Easy Mistake, produced by Matthew 'Esco' Thompson, has been doing relatively well on the music circuit and has left Sielle on a high. The song captures a love story based on a couple engulfed in a steamy relationship.

In an interview with The STAR, the singer revealed that she is determined to make it in the music business.

"I started out doing music when I was about five years old, so I knew from an early age that this was what I wanted to do. I was a musical child," she said.

"This single with Sean Paul has been doing really well, and I just want to use the exposure I'm getting now to make a name for myself in the industry because I don't see myself doing anything else," she added.

The singer said that although she considers herself a pop artiste, her work will always have a taste of reggae and dancehall music.

REGGAE AND DANCEHALL

"I grew up around reggae and dancehall music. I love the vibe you get when you listen to the music. Reggae motivates you and makes you wanna do good, while dancehall just makes you want to have fun, and I love having fun."

When asked about the source of her inspiration, Sielle said life.

"I write about real experiences because I think it's very important that you connect with people through your music. People should be able to relate to what you're saying because that is what I believe sets you apart from other artistes," she said.
