Demarco treats women with 'Backaz'
Dancehall artiste Demarco is ecstatic that his recent single, 'Backaz', is one of the biggest singles in the street dance circuit this Christmas season.
"Everybody a play the song. Every selector and mixtape a give it a strength. The girls dem a do lots of Instagram videos with the song online. Backaz a definitely the girls' dem anthem right now," Demarco said.
The video, which was officially released two weeks ago, has already racked up more 100,000 views online.
Although he is treating woman with Backaz for the Christmas season, Demarco has been getting good feedback to his other songs in recent weeks.
His Mavado diss single, King Kong, racked up 600,000 views in eight weeks, and the follow-up diss, We Run the World, also recorded thousands of views on YouTube.
Demarco is also a featured artiste on Miracle, alongside newcomer Keda, and Vybz Kartel. The song, which samples the hook from R&B star Deniece Williams' hit song, has racked up more than one million views since its release. The single was produced by TJ Records.
"We will be pushing the promotion of the Backaz song right through into the 2017, and we will be shooting videos for new projects in December," Demarco said, noting that he is booked for shows in Belize, Grenada and the United States next month.
