December 03, 2016

Lamont Savory's Crime Free Christmas has hit the pavement and shows the potential of success, in the form of some Jamaican holiday cheer.

In his initiative to promote a Crime Free Christmas, the guitarist and producer has utilised his network to produce a collection of Jamaica's top contemporary musical performers, and began the release of his own version of the 12 Days of Christmas.

The initiative spearhead is Savory, and the star-studded team includes vocal powerhouse Tessanne Chin and reggae artiste Tarrus Riley, who penned the theme song bearing the name of the campaign.

In addition, Duane Stephenson, Protoje, Chronixx, Christopher Martin and DMajor as well as dancehall favourites Busy Signal, Agent Sasco, Konshens and Tifa are also making vocal contributions to the effort.

The list of 12 is completed by outstanding gospel vocalist Kevin Downswell, whose song and music video called Mary Did You was released on Friday.

"It has been getting good attention," Savory told THE STAR.

Companies such as Wisynco, FLOW and Innovative Signs have endorsed Crime Free Christmas project.

With their support, currently released Crime Free Christmas have garnered up to 7,000 likes and shares on social media.

"Several persons have picked up on it. It's actually being shared outside of Jamaica," Savory said.
