Sativa gets good response at 'Sound Di Alarm'
Known for his incendiary live performances, strong stage presence and charismatic vocals, Sativa D Black 1 delivered a brilliant performance at Sound di Alarm at the Dinthill High school on New Year's Eve.
He started off his performance shortly after 1 a.m., with Jamaica, but it was his appeal to the Elders to stop molesting and preying sexually on young girls that whipped the crowd into a frenzy.
His great energy as he heaped fire on the heads of child molesters and paedophiles was well received.
He closed his set with Ah Yu, a humorous song talking about a cheating woman, where his line, ''Look up ah mi gate, up deh I sight the drop top/mi pull the door and see a man inna mi hot spot/Same time I get stammer, mi no Bounty, but I run go fi the hammer'' amused the members of the audience.
Sativa was pleased with his performance.
"Ah bear bitters. After mi perform, a lot of people came up to me to big me up, so I feel really good. Mi gi dem a performance that the whole ah Jamaica ah go marvel fi the 2017," the singer, whose real name is Shaun Smith, said.
