Major Grumpy positive about 'Day Light Sunshine'

International reggae artiste Major Grumpy says he is pleased with the response to his latest single 'Day Light Sunshine', which propelled him to be recognised as the best male artiste 2016. Vibes Fm in South London bestowed the award on him.

The England based entertainer, given name is Orville Dennis, and his team is currently in Jamaica to promoting the single.

He said he is doing some promotional work with Sassy Entertainment Marketing Media Agency.

He told THE STAR, "I have a large following in South America. I did some sold out shows in Brazil and Puerto Rico before I visited Jamaica. No matter how popular you are internationally, you have to stay connected to the roots of the music which is Jamaica."

Major Grumpy is no stranger to the dancehall/reggae scene as he had a few popular singles back in the early 90s, which placed him on the map.

His chart topping single at the time was In Ting .

A music video for the song directed by CEO of Sassy Entertainment Marketing Media Agency, Alicia-Ann 'Sassysemmapr' Roxborough, was shot on several locations in Jamaica. THE STAR was informed that the music video would be premiered on youtube at noon Friday. Major Grumpy will be leaving Jamaica for his European Tour on July 14 to August 2.

He has shows lined up in France, Italy, Austria and Croatia before heading back to England for a few upcoming festival and other gigs.
