Weh Dem Up To - Pink Boss signs record deal with UIM Records

November has been a big month for Pink Boss.

Although he walked away from Season 9 of the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition without the $1 million dollar cash prize and bragging rights, Pink Boss is gearing up for a fruitful new year.

In a recent interview with The WEEKEND STAR, the dancehall artiste announced that he recently finalised a contract with the successful UIM Records.

"It has been good so far because I've been working with Anju Blaxx. It's big moves for 2018," he told The WEEKEND STAR. Pink Boss revealed that he has been actively working with the UIM Records team, but the agreement to sign with the label was signed off on November 17.

"I'm in the studio every night, I've been recording. I've been doing crazy work," he said. Pink Boss reports that all the hard work has culminated in a catalogue of over 40 songs. Since his departure from the popular talent competition, Pink Boss recorded and released numerous singles. Last Monday, the artiste dropped the latest, a collaboration with Ikel Marvelous called Back Up, produced by Primetime Music from Braeton, Portmore.

Earlier this year, he collaborated with Diiverse from Canada on a track called Forever, which is currently available for download on iTunes.

Stored in Pink Boss' catalogue are more singles, which he hopes will demonstrate his versatility and perhaps have him considered for a Grammy nomination.

"Most of them are singles, and some jugglingthere's gonna be like a compilation of various artistes. I'm a very spontaneous artiste. I can sing, deejay and rap. I write my own songs. I even see songs I write featured in The WEEKEND STAR say it have R&B influence," he said proudly, though maintaining his ghostwriting approach.

"As young and upcoming as I am, I help out and write."

Pink Boss is scheduled to perform at Braeton Jamboree, headlined by Spice, on December 16, and again at Skateland on December 22.
