Anthony Minott/Freelance Photographer Prado, an artiste from the area, and one of the organisers of the stage show, takes his turn at the microphone.

On New Year's Day, patrons turned out for Eastern Extravaganza, held at the Mountain View Oval.

The show was organised to help unite the various communities located in the Mountain View area.

In recent times, warring factions have created havoc, but gangsters recently swore to a peace treaty. Residents and politicians also made a peace walk through Mountain View Avenue recently.
