Selector Mad Ras honoured at Pure Vibes

Veteran dancehall selector Mad Ras was honoured by Wanda of Oh Canada and the Canadian All Stars promotion team, during their Pure Vibes Retro Style Party, held recently at Lil Copa Club in Bull Bay, St Andrew.

The Homestead, Spanish Town-raised Mad Ras has selected at more than a few venues in the eastern side of the island, in particular Bull Bay, and cemented his award by playing a top-notch set and had patrons dancing the night away.

He mixed the genres, including soul, lovers rock, reggae and dancehall, and the audience loved it.

Meanwhile, others that played a pivotal role in the development of the entertainment industry in the east were also recognised, including Freddie Dread, owner of Emperor Sound.
