Safaree to be honoured
Hard work, a will to succeed and not being afraid of taking chances is helping Brooklyn-based, Jamaican rapper Safaree succeed in the entertainment business.
On February 18, he will be presented with the 'Blue & Bougie Impact Award' at Mingles Cafe, in the Bronx, NY for his work in 2017.
Jerry McDonald, executive from Blue & Bougie told THE WEEKEND STAR "Safaree is a bonafide star!"
"He developed his music career in 2017 and flourished as a reality TV star of Love & Hip Hop. He expanded his business empire, launching his own line of coconut oil," he said. "On social media platforms Twitter, and Instagram, he created a buzz, racking up millions of views and likes for his posts. He also amassed millions of views on YouTube."
After garnering the spotlight as Nicki Minaj's beau, critics thought he would vanish into thin air when the couple split.
Four years later, Safaree is landing starring roles on both the New York and Hollywood franchises of Love & Hip Hop.
In October, he had a starring role on VH1's Scared Famous, where reality TV stars complete a series of spooky challenges in an attempt to win $100,000 for their charity.
The rapper, songwriter and business entrepreneur, born Lloyd Samuels was also crowned HelloBeautiful's Sexiest Man Of 2017.
McDonald indicated 2018 could be an even bigger year for the rapper who is expected to release a new album, tour and expand his acting resume with a starring role in a feature film project.
