Grace Jones documentary to be premiered in Ocho Rios
Rural Jamaica will not be left out when 'Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami', a documentary about Jamaican superstar model, singer, songwriter and actress Grace Jones, premieres this weekend.
Immediately following the Kingston premiere today, the documentary will be shown at Cove Cinema in Ocho Rios. The screening is expected to start at 5 p.m. Then, just like in Kingston, Jones will again do a sit-down interview after the film.
She is scheduled to be interviewed by IKa'bu Ma'at Kheru, director of programmes at IRIE FM and host of Running African, where she will answer questions about the documentary.
According to a release sent to THE STAR, the film , directed by Sophie Fiennes, splices Jones' musical performances with intimate footage that reveals the complexity of the pop icon's fascinating life from her early years in Jamaica to her eruption as a model on the world stage.
The local premiere of the documentary comes months after the film premiered in London and Toronto.
