Entertainers Chi Ching Ching, Ikaya and Owen 'Blakka' Ellis have teamed up as part of the enticing entertainment offerings for the inaugural staging of the Wolmer's Girls' Alumnae's 2018 Mother's Day GRUB FEST on Saturday, May 12.

The charity event is seeking to raise funds for the association's Enid Smedmore Foundation, which provides monetary assistance to qualified students of the Wolmer's Girls' as well as the Teachers' and Students' Welfare Funds.

Norma Brown Bell, chair and trustee of the Enid Smedmore Foundation, says the diverse group of entertainers in support of the fundraising event is indicative of the amount of support that is needed to sustain the efforts of the foundation.

"We are very pleased to have the support of these top tier entertainers. They are a diverse set and every indication of the offerings we will have at this family fundraiser. The Enid Smedmore Foundation is truly grateful for their support and the support received from all our donors, volunteers and sponsors," Brown Bell said.

Approximately 30 students have benefited from the foundation, most of whom have gone on to further their studies at tertiary institutions and have maintained outstanding scholastic records and strong ties within their communities and act as true representations of the success of initiative.
