Flydiewise looking at new starlet
St Thomas-based production house Flydiewise Production, widely known for its work with fast-rising dancehall sensation Jameik King, is getting ready to sign its latest find, singjay Kahsion.
"We've been following Kahsion's career for a while now, and we're pleased to be to be working with him. No papers have been signed as yet, but we're going to sort that out very soon," said label CEO Garthfield Whyte.
Flydiewise Production is working on a seven-track EP with Kahsion, which is slated to be released in November.
Producer Jarrell 'Flydiewise' Edwards said the label has big plans for the artiste.
"We want to launch his career with a bang, so we're going to release two singles from the EP before the end of this summer. We are also going to roll out a strong marketing campaign locally, and we also plan to promote him in the UK and the US before we release the EP," he said.
Kahsion, whose given name is Kemarly Nazze Thomas, was born in 1992. He spent the earliest years of his childhood in Kingston before moving with his mother at age 12 to live in Mandeville.
He launched his recording career in 2017 with a self-produced single titled Choppa.
