Ever since she released the song Equal Rights, controversial dancehall diva Ishawna has brought oral sex to life on stage.

During her performances of the song, the entertainer usually invites a male patron from the audience to participate in the oral sex re-enactment.

He is put to lie on his back as she sits on his face. But in a recent video that has surfaced on social media, Ishawna was left shell-shocked when the man she invited on stage refused to end the 'performance'.

Even when Ishawna falls to the ground trying to free herself, the man keeps his face buried between her thighs.

It is unclear whether the performance took place in Jamaica but the video has been generating quite the buzz.

While some social media users believe Ishawna got exactly what she deserved for always going 'too far' in the name of entertainment, others believe she was violated.

"Life has become so terrible that many people no longer know how to enjoy a fun moment. It was supposed to be a nice flirty cute moment and that is it, nothing else. He violated her pass that point," one person commented.

"She asked for the equal rights but he went too far. He coulda hurt her," another post read.

Women's rights activist Nadeen Spence agreed that the male participant violated the deejay. She expressed that what started out as consent between both parties, quickly turned into assault when the man continued the act against Ishawna's will.

"I couldn't hear what she said over the music but she indicated through the touch and then attempting to walk away that the consent was withdrawn. He continued despite that withdrawal and according to law, that is sexual assault," Spence said.

"We can question her decision making, we can discuss whether or not we believe that she was careless with her own body and how she allows people to access and touch her. We all have opinions. But in this case, it would appear that the situation went from one of consent to forced simulated sex."

'Expect the unexpected'

However, selector Tony Matterhorn said designating blame in this case is not that easy. He expressed that while the male fan got carried away and violated the entertainer, Ishawna should have known to expect the unexpected especially during a performance of that nature. He says he hopes this will force the artiste to improve her security.

"Memba she nah perform normal innu. She a perform a strip tease so that's an enhanced performance. The fans will get carried away. It's like Dexta Daps in the opposite. Him coulda really latch on pan her and him inna adrenaline rush, goodly not even know weh him a do," he said. "She shoulda know say her fans a some horny goats weh fascinated by her and fantasise bout her so she fi have security there. Nothing nuh wrong wid she entertaining her fans in a seductive way, but while yuh doing that yuh have to have security just in case the fans get carried away," Matterhorn said.
