Mommy you are irreplaceable - Shenseea remembers her mother during funeral

"Mommy you are irreplaceable." Those were a few of the words made public from Shenseea's speech on Wednesday afternoon as she gave the eulogy at a private going home ceremony for her mother, Castilyn Eleanor Williams.

In a mash-up of brief footage on YouTube, Shenseea can be heard describing her mother as a humanitarian who cared for everyone and gave willingly without strings attached to anyone in need.

"On the first of August 1968, one of the most altruistic human beings was born. You were the true definition of a humanitarian, always caring for others even if you didn't know them. You had such a big heart," Shenseea read as she shared fond memories of the woman she said holds half of her heart.

On Thursday, Shenseea also posted photos of herself and son Rajeiro holding an urn, with the caption "... this is the only way I can hug my mom now. I love and miss you Mommy."

She also thanked "Everyone for the kind and motivational messages".

Where the service and subsequent burial took place were not disclosed, but from the clips on social media, the funeral was well attended.

Showed up to support her

Shenseea's music colleagues showed up to support her in what she has described as the hardest thing she's ever had to face in her life.

Among those in attendance were her manager Romeich Major, label brothers Ding Dong, Teejay and Bishop Escobar, Tarrus Riley, Dean Frazer, Romain Virgo and internationally renowned producer, Rvssian.

Virgo, Riley and Frazer all offered up musical tributes. Videos of Virgo singing Oh What A Sunrise, Riley delivering his original track Remember Me, and Frazer offering up an instrumental version of Bridge Over Troubled Waters began circulating on the Internet as news of the funeral spread.

Shenseea's mother passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 25. The entertainer made the shocking revelation via Instagram, which plunged the entire industry into mourning as her mother was someone the singer constantly shared with her fan base. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed, but in an hour-long Instagram live session a few days later, Shenseea said her mother was admitted to the hospital after suffering a mild stroke.

While in hospital, she had a heart attack and died. In that same session, Shenseea thanked everyone for the outpouring of love and support for her and her family and asked that they continue to lift her up in prayer.
