Dancehall artiste Juggla believes that his single The Confrontation, which tackles infidelity, is his biggest song to date.

The track tells the story about a man who confronts his spouse after he witnesses her being sexually involved with another man.

“The whole concept came off from just stories relating to those shared to me by friends and people close to me. Of course, it is nothing new but it’s just how this one was delivered in a different way. This one was inspired by true events and a moment of madness,” Juggla said. He said that it is at its peak on social-media platform Tiktok, and its success has inspired him to get a TikTok account.

“The track is really just picking up. It was released a month ago. This is really the second week we are seeing a spike. The changes I’ve seen are requests for jingles and dubplates and a lot of requests for interviews,” said Juggla, whose given name is Sheldon Henry.

TRUE TEST

Juggla explained that the success the track is now enjoying is the result of a true test of patience and confidence.

“We had this song for almost a year. The song was voiced in May 2021 and the song was written in January of last year. So we knew what we had, we were just waiting for the right timing,” he said.

Juggla was a runner-up in the 2010 Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition, but has been noticeably absent from the dancehall space.

“When I entered Magnum and the success I got from Magnum, I never know weh fi do after that. I never know what steps to take. I said I gwaan so good inna Magnum mi haffi bus now but anno so it work. I had to start from ground zero,” he said.
