Though he was only given five minutes to showcase his talent to a dancehall audience, many of whom were hearing about him for the first time, Japanese dancehall deejay ZendaMan said his debut at Sting was fruitful in more ways than one.

"That was just five minutes, but I know it's enough for the bad Japanese," the ChopShop artiste said. He was joined on stage by Japanese dancer Rie Fujiwara, who added choreography to his performance of his 'gyal song' medley, which included the tracks Punny Printer and Mash Up Bedroom. He said that following his Sting performance, his social media numbers have increased.

"I have my TikTok account. I got 600,000 views on my last video, and then some Jamaican women sent secret messages for me. I love you Barbies, much respect," he added.

Of his time on stage, in which he also performed Gunman Song (a cover of late deejay Pan Head's single), ZendaMan said that he wasn't nervous.

"I was excited the whole time. I got so much good response from the audience. People already knew the 'Choppanese', a lie? I'm [always] ready for the stage for a performance, 'nawmal a lie?'" he joked. ZendaMan stressed that he takes his craft seriously.

"I did rehearsal with our band two times, and I've always been dreaming of becoming a star artiste," he revealed.
