Songstress Rosh Reign brought good vibe and a strong stage presence on Tuesday when she performed at the launch of her new project, an EP called Reign.

Held at Janga's Soundbar and Grill in St Andrew, the launch party saw Bella Blair performing her hit single, Gimmie A Light, which set the early pace for the high-energy and interactive performance from Rosh Reign.

The night also saw a cameo performance from Strongest Soldier hitmaker, Jahmiel, who showed up to support the young entertainer.

An up-and-coming entertainer, Rosh Reign has been carving out a niche as an artiste who typically creates feel-good, positive music with a message that many persons can relate to. On Tuesday night, the Easy singer performed all the tracks from her five-track debut project. The Montego Bay-based Rosh Reign said the decision to hold the launch party for the EP in Kingston was strategic.

"Kingston seems to be the heartbeat of musical entertainment, providing various platforms, eyes, ears and media, which is needed when trying to reach a certain audience in a certain way. Trying to move from that 'up-and-coming artiste' to 'artiste' space, it was perfect to host the launch here, where it would be easy to connect with media houses, producers, fans and well-wishers," she said.

Reign consists of Right Time, Lockdown With Me, Run Come and Way Up. The artiste is joined by Spain-based recording artiste Sumerr on the other track, titled Living. Rosh Reign threw in an extra for the appreciative audience by performing a sixth song, Firm.

"It's almost hard to choose a favourite song. I connect deeply to each for different reasons," Rosh Reign said. "I really love Right Time. It's a song of declaration. I'm all for declaring good things! I do love Living, featuring Sumerr, also. The riddim is swinging in a beautiful way, and the message is just beautiful. It's declaring good things, while doing so in a fun and vibsy manner. I love that a lot of people can relate to it, and that excites me," she said.
