Dolla Bill looks to build on ‘God Design’
Waterhouse, St Andrew-born recording artiste Dolla Bill is currently riding a high musical wave since the release of his single God Design in February.
The former Norman Manley High School student told THE STAR that the track, which was produced by Kenardo Records, was inspired by his journey in music.
"As with the case of any great man or woman trying to achieve something noble, my journey in music is so far filled with a number of setbacks. But I am destined for greatness and, as weh di song say, ' dem cyah stop dah youth yah'," remarked the up-and-coming singjay.
God Design has been receiving steady rotation on the airwaves and in the streets at various dances, and this has given the artiste added belief that his future is bright.
"Mi love the energy weh it a get right now in the streets. It is a good feeling to have when you are out there promoting music and hear yuh song a play, and then get the chance to watch how people reacting to it," Dolla Bill said.
The artiste, who has tried to deliver conscious lyrics, said that he is working on other projects, including a still-untitled EP.
"People a go see a deeper side to me, because we have experienced and observed a lot in life. God Design is just a taste of what is to come, mi can assure mi fans of that. Right now, di focus is to complete the video for the song, and then back in the studio to put the final touches to my EP," he said.
Dolla Bill has also released tracks such as Set Di Trend and No Fren Killer since he entered the music scene a couple of years ago.
