Fancy D tackles climate change on new single

Recording artiste Fancy D is spreading awareness and positivity in his single, Saving Mother Earth.

The track was officially released on April 15, with the artiste serving as executive producer, along with Lee Holness.

"This is a motivational song that speaks life into one's journey. My hope is that it will sensitise the people about the climate, the decisions we make, and our actions, or lack thereof, that impact our world," the artiste explained.

Since its release, the track has been receiving encouraging and positive responses, with many people comparing it to tracks by the likes of Bob Marley, Bob Andy or Jimmy Cliff.

"With this song, I hope to spread the message of urgency to sensitise people about how each individual can help," he said. "Individual actions can be taken, like reducing our use of plastics, planting trees, reducing or eliminating the use of gas-powered cars and so on."

Currently based in the US, Fancy D's musical journey dates as far back as 1999, with the release of his first recording, a cover of Whitney Houston's One Moment In Time.

"The music I create can be described as family friendly, social commentary and motivational. I want people to take away something good whenever they listen to my songs," he said.

His other releases include Mama You Are A Blessing, Why Do You Worry, and Love The Vibes.
