Singer Star Social mourns the passing of two close friends on his new song Buy Back Life, which is produced by No Joke Records.

"The song is basically saying what everyone goes through on a daily basis after losing someone close to them," said Star Social. His said his friends, who he referred to as Pocolala and Tierce, were both victims of gun violence. The Portmore, St Catherine-based artiste shared that the song is relatable to everyone.

"Even if you haven't lost someone close to you, just by listening to the song, you realise that it's easily relatable," said Star Social.

Star Social is originally from Nine Miles in St Ann, the community that birthed the late reggae icon Bob Marley.

"I grew up in church and I sang in the choir, so that's where I fell in love with music and where my talent was showcased," he disclosed.

Born Jermain Gordon, Star Social previously released the songs Cash Inna Ma Jeans and Watch Ova Mi Jahovah.

"I just want to bring positivity across the world with good music and uplift others. I want my music to reach an international audience, an audience that gets my melodic blend of reggae, R&B and a little gospel infusion, from start to finish," said Star Social.
