Popeye Caution bringing ‘high energy’ to Chris Brown concert

Recording artiste Popeye Caution is eagerly awaiting his performance at Chris Brown's Under the Influence Concert on August 27 at the National Stadium in Kingston.

The artiste, who became popular with the release of his collaboration with Ding Dong, Good Tings Dem, recently performed with the artiste at South Beach Club LIV in Florida, a venue which is known for hosting performances by rap superstars such as Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Drake. Popeye Caution said the aim is to perform at the Chris Brown show with the same high energy and intensity for which he is known.

"People are tired of sad music and talk of constant struggle. They want to be able to let loose and enjoy events to escape from their realities. I also want to big up my brother Ryan Burke for providing me with the opportunity to be a part of such a star-studded line-up."

In addition to his upcoming performance, Popeye Caution has released Minty Step with Teetimus, which has created a much-needed buzz on TikTok with the #MintyStep Challenge. The single pays homage to several dancers and is very catchy with instructions to follow. Dancers such as North Coast Boys and Cojo can be seen doing the challenge, as well as the Tanda Twins, who are credited as the original creators of the challenge.

Prior to Minty Step, he released Starboy featuring international recording artiste and producer Felva, which did exceptionally well in the Latin market. The single also received airplay in Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and sections of North America.

"From here on out, it's just more massive productions and bigger shows. I want to continue to embrace dancehall and fuse it with world sounds," said Popeye Caution.
