Fyah In Da Ville heads to new location
Event promoter Princess Taylor is anticipating a huge turnout for her annual Fyah In Da Ville stage show.
The event, which has its origins in Manchester, is set to take place in Negril, Westmoreland, for the first time at the Jamaica Tamboo Resort on November 25.
"Over the years, Fyah In Da Ville has received great support from patrons in Mandeville and other parts of Manchester. We started out keeping this stage show in Georges Valley in 2016, and the following year we moved it to Mandeville. Since then, it has grown tremendously, but I believe it has the potential to grow even much bigger," said Taylor.
She continued, "When my team and I decided to move the event outside of Mandeville, we knew we had to find a location that would provide an opportunity for greater success. So, we chose Negril because it's one of the hottest party destinations in Jamaica, and there's always a lot of tourists around during this time of the year."
Since its first staging, some of the hottest acts in dancehall music have headlined the event, including Capleton, Skeng, Rygin King and Macka Diamond. This year, the headliners are Capleton, Najeeriii and Munga Honorable.
"As the name suggests, this is a high-energy event, and every year we try our best to select some of the hottest dancehall artistes to headline the show. We also try our best to select artistes who will deliver a positive message, and some of the controversial ones too. After all, it's a dancehall stage show," said the promoter.
The line-up for Fyah In Da Ville also includes Ffurious, Idrae and Elbizzle.
