Since his emergence on the Jamaican reggae music scene, recording artiste Wesrok has turned many heads.

The artiste blends authentic Jamaican reggae music with American country music, thus creating 'country-reggae'. Recently, the artiste shot scenes in Nashville, Tennessee, for his new music video Don't Get Me Wrong, which is a collaboration with Busy Signal. The trip also proved fruitful as Wesrok attended the Country Music Awards at the Bridge Stone Arena. Wesrok shared, "It was a good experience for me. I was able to see how these people treasure country music, and I can see why it's probably one of the biggest genres. Being there and seeing what is happening in Nashville, seeing how the people treasure country music, with every bar and every club having live music; they eat, breathe and live it. And not only are the people involved in it, but the government seems to preserve it in such a way where it becomes the number one foreign exchange earner."

Wesrok has since landed collaborations with award-winning songwriter Leslie Bowe and American reggae band Big Mountain after numerous performances and appearances on reggae and country shows.

"When I decided to fuse country music with reggae, it opened the door for me to fuse the genre with other genres. I learned that music could transcend different countries and cultures, and this made it easier for me to promote and connect with producers worldwide," said Wesrok.
