Stevie Face treats residents to free concert
Reggae singer Stevie Face is pleased with the response to his Iland Vybz Food Court five-a-side Football League finals and New Year's Eve party in Albion, St Thomas.
"I am very happy for the turnout that we got with this event. Over 3,000 patrons attended the five-a-side football competition, which was held during the day, and the New Year's Eve party in the night. I am thankful for the support from the residents of Albion and the surrounding areas who attended," he said.
Patrons who attended the event, which was held on the grounds of the Advanced Service Station, were treated to a free concert which featured performances from Sizzla, I-Octane and Delly Ranx. Stevie Face lauded the trio for exciting performances.
"They made the event a memorable one; all three of them rocked the house. Even days after the event, people were telling me that this was one of the biggest and most exciting events ever held in St Thomas," said Stevie Face.
On the football side, Impossible won the Iland Vybz league title, while Turf Ballers won the knockout competition. Both teams took home $250,000.
Stevie Face, who hails from Albion, plans to stage another event this year.
"It's going to be even bigger and better the second time around," he said.
