Shawn Ice looks to ‘elevate’

Dancehall artiste Shawn Ice is kicking off the new year on a high note with the release of his new single, Elevated 2.0.

"I am evolving as an artiste," he said. "I see the new year as one of 'elevation' in my music, brand and business.'"

The single is Shawn Ice's follow-up to Elevated, which sparked a buzz among music lovers when he dropped it a few years ago. As Shawn Ice has received continual requests for the record, he feels the momentum and vibe must continue with Elevated 2.0.

"This is a feel-good song, and I believe the people dem can benefit from Elevated 2.0 vibes right ya now," Shawn Ice said.

This track is one of several efforts from the artiste. He indicated that he is teaming up with producers for a series of releases, including an EP titled Entity. The artiste said that his elevated approach to music includes expanding his sound to incorporate other genres.

"The talent is there. Recording the right songs to reach wide audiences is key, which is why my projects are being strategically mapped out," he said, adding that his overall brand will progress with new business opportunities, some of which are outside of music.

"I have a great team which has a vested interest in me, and foresight. They often see more than me ... I like that," said Shawn Ice, referring to Diamond Liquids and Acclaim PR. He is scheduled for various shows, including upcoming gigs in St Louis and Atlanta.
