Reggae musician Hezron is still on a spiritual high following his recent two-month stint in Ghana.

Exploring places such as Kumasi, Cape Coast, Takoradi and Salt Pond, the artiste took in the culture and got quite a bit of insight during his stay.

"The experience was overwhelming! It was spiritually gratifying - so many amazing things happened to me apart from performances. I was invited to the king's ceremony, his name is the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and he anointed me and gave me the Ghanaian name Kwame Bonsu. I also met the Muslim leader, Imam, and was given a Muslim name by him, Alhaj Nassir. Words truly can't explain these moments and emotions," Hezron said.

According to Hezron, reggae music is loved beyond words in Ghana and has a very powerful meaning for music lovers there. He said that there are many similarities between Jamaica and Ghana, including the food.

"The main distinctions are our accents and the language. I was amazed by how similar we are as a people," he expressed. Embracing the opportunity of being on Ghanaian soil, Hezron connected musically by recording new singles and collaborations with several local artistes.

"There are a lot of releases coming out. There's a song I did while in Africa called Property Manager. It's an Afrobeat vibe. I'm versatile and I'm always adapting, so I wanted the challenge and I went for it," Hezron revealed.

Promoting his successful 2022 M.O.A.M (Man On a Mission) album for Tad's Record, the artiste is gearing up to release the singles Made For The Battle, featuring Turbulence, as well as Natural Woman. He is also preparing for live performances with an upcoming tour in the UK, Canada, and other parts of Africa.

"You can look out for more promotions, more shows, more visuals this year. I'm just working on promoting the music and spreading the positive messages," Hezron said.
