Bronx-based reggae artiste Proteyn tackles the obsessive nature of toxic relationships and infidelity with his latest single, Ah She Date Me.

"So far the response is good on social media, especially on YouTube. There has been no negative backlash, because my circle of friends know that my wife is always there to support me, and this song is a make-believe situation," the artiste said.

The single was released on the 'Date Room' rhythm for LJ United Records with an accompanying music video. Proteyn, given name Lipton Errol Jones, has solidified a decent undergound following with lyrics which primarily focus on real-life situations such as relationships, world events, and the pleasures and difficulties of life in general. He is eyeing major moves in 2024.

"Currently, I'm working on arranging some live performances on shows along the East Coast of the US. I'm still working on promotion overseas, but I am focusing most of my promotions in Jamaica because I need that home town support to get my career to that next level," he said.
