Reggae singer Shwaniyah is pouring out her love for Jamaican men into her music with a series of singles, namely, ' Jamaica My love' and ' Man From Jamaica'.

"I'm think I'm obsessed with Jamaican men. It's not something that I am ashamed of. I find them very inspiring. When I checked the dictionary and found the meaning of the word 'obsessed', I realised that this is how I feel, and I am more inspired by them than any other men I've come across in the world. They just make me feel fiery and upbeat. I've had associations with two Jamaican men in the past and now I'm looking to meet more men from Jamaica," she said.

Man From Jamaica is a reggae song inspired by the Notnice Records' 'Boom Box' rhythm. The song was written about her first Jamaican love, a man from Spanish Town, St Catherine. Jamaica My Love was produced by Lioness Movements and Dreadlock Nation Namibia.

"This one was inspired by my second Jamaican love. This human supercharged my creativity in ways that I cannot explain, he's a real angel," the singer explained.

Originally from Dominica, Shwaniyah is now living in England pursuing a master's degree and completing the Bar practice course at the University of Law. She finds herself balancing several activities, as, along with her music career, she is an accredited commercial mediator, paralegal and certified Tarot reader. She recently graduated with honours in law from the University of Wolverhampton.

Describing her releases as 'survival music', the artiste has been partially active in the game for the past 14 years, having released her first recorded audio in 2010.

"My music is musings from my soul. I hope to keep listening to the voices in my head and just sing what I hear," she said. Other releases include I'm In Love, Waiting and Boomerang.

The singer is working on her first music video, and will also be embarking on an East Africa tour.
