Chapta Nyne listens to what ‘Grandma Seh’
Aiming to foster positive growth with his music, US-based recording artiste Chapta Nyne has released his single Grandma Seh, which embodies the craft of melodic storytelling rooted in soulful dancehall.
Set in Atlanta, the accompanying video is led by popular social media personality, Slick Whiteline, and is the perfect blend of comedy, relatability and entertainment. Chapta Nyne explained that the song seeks to help widen the scope with which we see life.
"If anyone can teach you from experience, it's your grandma and that relatability is what continues to drive the traction for this track. Grandma Seh teaches you how to handle success and pay attention to those around you. Slick Whiteline captured the essence of the track and brought it to life in the official video. Overall I am pleased with the response this project has been receiving," said Chapta Nyne.
The artiste, who has had the opportunity to work with musical VIPs such as Sly and Robbie, Firehouse Crew and Mikey Bennett, credits the outcome of his recent project to hit-making producer, Quantanium Records, who is also currently working on his forthcoming EP.
"My EP will be released in coming months and will feature Grandma Seh as well as Focus Like Telescope, another track the masses can use to identify my presence on the dancehall scene," he said. Focus Like Telescope was released before Grandma Seh and was the track that set the precedent for me to follow up with the positive vibration it brought. That track was entered into multiple competitions, winning each, awarding it airplay across numerous radio stations in the US and Africa. Focus Like Telescope still continues to dominate in its demographics and I am grateful." The official video for that single features fellow entertainer Trabass, adding to the comedic but educational value of the track by applying his theatrical knowledge. This has resulted in the video receiving thousands of views.
While Chapta Nyne continues to put a strong promotional muscle behind Grandma Seh, he urged youth to adhere to the real message in his track while enjoying its melodies.
