After trying his hand with trendy sounds such as Afrobeats and reggaeton on his last album, Honorebel continues to explore on ' Energy Surge', his latest collection of songs which was released in August.

Horimama, the latest single from that album, hears him jamming to the amapiano beat with Eme, a Nigerian artiste.

"Music trends and styles evolve constantly. Reinventing your sound and image helps you stay current and relevant in the industry. It allows me to explore new styles and themes that can revitalise my creativity and prevent stagnation," said Honorebel. "A new image or sound can attract a different audience and broaden your fan base." The amapiano is a traditional beat, particularly popular in southern Africa. Producers in Europe have embraced its frenetic rhythms and recorded a number of African artistes, hoping to make it as successful as Afrobeats and EDM.

This is Honorebel's second amapiano single, having collaborated with Snoop Dogg and Goya Menor on a remix of Can't Let Go, a song from 444, his previous album which came out last year.

Energy Surge, which is the artiste's 11th album, is a return to his dancehall roots. While embracing different genres can be beneficial, Honorebel admits there are some pitfalls.

"It requires calculated risks and balancing innovation with consistency. Remember, reinvention requires boldness and adaptability, but you should remain true to your artistic essence," he explained.
