I-Octane pleased with new album’s progress

Reggae artiste I-Octane is not new to success, but for the singer, having embarked on a spiritual journey that led to self-actualisation, his most recent work's chart success has him beaming with pride.

I-Octane shared that his God & I album brings him joy. The happiness is twofold, as the project not only allowed him to nurture a deeper connection with God, but it's also reaping success after soaring to the top spots on digital streaming platforms, iTunes and Amazon.

"This album is a true reflection of who I am right now. I've said countless times that God & I is a powerful representation of the relationship I have with the Most High. I have faced many trials in this business, but God has kept me solid, spiritually, mentally, and physically. So my success is owed to the Almighty and my team," he said.

"The love it's (the album) getting worldwide shows that people are ready for music with meaning again, and you have to give thanks for that. Music can touch people and change lives, and that is the aim for me with the songs on this project. I want people to experience the same kind of connection I had and know that God has their backs, too," he added. Outlining that there is more to come, the artiste said he is getting ready to launch a new music video and hopes the album's chart success will continue to climb.

"I give thanks for the support so far, and I can feel that this is really and truly just the start. There is so much more to come, and I can't wait to see all the success. Next on the agenda is a video for the second single from the project called Powerful Story," he said. "The track was produced by Seanizzle and is another track with a message that aligns perfectly with my journey. The video was directed by BlingBlang, who has done outstanding work for me in the past."

God & I is a 15-track project that was released in April. In the weeks after its release, the album landed in the top spot on both iTunes and Amazon's Reggae charts. The project's breakout single, Opportunist, has racked up more than 3.3 million views on YouTube and is currently in full rotation on BET, MTV, and other major networks, marking a monumental return for the artiste.

I-Octane is also getting ready to embark on his first international performance since the project's release, with a show scheduled for June 28. More dates and stops are expected to be added in the US and Africa in short order.
