Carousing promises ultimate dancehall vibes
Dancehall lovers are in for an unforgettable experience as Magnum Dancehall Week 2026 closes with a bang at the highly anticipated Carousing after-party on Sunday, March 1.
Patrons can look forward to explosive performances from Stalk Ashley, Ding Dong, and Pamputtae, each bringing their unique flair to crown a week-long celebration of Jamaica's iconic dancehall culture.
The night will pulse with non-stop riddims, expertly mixed by top-tier selectors including Shukkle Bus, Javy Supreme, DJ Fast Car, DJ Unknown, Sound Government, DJ Scrappy, and DJ Orrette, delivering a seamless sonic journey from start to finish. Hosting the festivities will be Bishop Escobar, with admission secured through the purchase of a bottle of Magnum Tonic Wine.
Now in its third year, Magnum Dancehall Week (February 22 - March 1, 2026) has solidified its reputation as a premier celebration of Jamaica's globally influential dancehall culture. While the week features signature events across Kingston's nightlife -- from Boom Sundays to Vybz Thursday -- everything leads to Sunday's street-to-stage experience, designed to capture the raw nocturnal energy of dancehall.
On March 1, participants will gather at 4 p.m. at Mandela Park in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew, with the Street Parade commencing at 6 p.m., winding along Half-Way Tree Road to Cross Roads, and culminating at DLux Restaurant (formerly the Gee Wee Parking Lot) on Caledonia Avenue. But the celebration doesn't stop when the sun sets.
From 8 p.m. to midnight, the streets will transform into the ultimate dancehall party, Carousing, an event designed to showcase the style, energy, and musical dominance that define the genre's vibrant nightlife.
"We are still evolving as an entity and we believe this year's execution of Magnum Dancehall Week focuses on the entertainment essence of dancehall -- keeping it light, fun and entertaining as we honour the heartbeat of the streets and the fearless pulse that keeps Jamaica's culture alive, evolving, and unapologetically global, said Dave Goldson, director of Magnum Dancehall Week.
"We invite everyone to be part of that story when we take it to the streets of Kingston on March 1," he added.
