Barbers, barbers, barbers! Out of work and looking for a job? Fret not, there are three vacancies in the field that are still up for grabs. This week, THE STAR again sought to make linkages between employers and employees in its Jobs to Go feature.

Following a search of the Gleaner Classifieds for job postings, our news team followed up with a St Andrew-based male administrator, who informed us that he still needs barbers to fill vacancies at the newly established barber shop. He added that he is pleased with the number of feedback he has garnered having used the classifieds as a forum to reach out to the likely candidates.

"They used the Gleaner Classifieds to find us," he said "They saw it in the paper and came."

The proprietor told THE STAR that since he initial posting they have found two persons that appeared to be a right fit. Admittedly, he explained that there was room for improvement in relation to one of those persons.

"One is settling in, and one, not so much," he said. "Call it that we need three barbers really. The commitment and persons that are able to commit to their task. It's really their business that they're running. It's a time management and a life management issue."

Still, the administrator said he was quite pleased with he results yielded thus far.

"It's (Gleaner Classifieds) very effective. Persons have been calling and it's quite good," he expressed. As a reminder, the business man said that persons should have Christian values, upstanding with a great work ethic. He also made mention of preferring to steer clear of the kind of undesirable who may use of foul language and the like in the workplace. If this seems like a right fit for you, here is your opportunity. Interested persons are invited to contact 778-1162 or 771-2971 to make further enquiries.
