Reggae Marathon a boost to Negril's economy

President of the Negril Chamber of Commerce, Lee Issa, has lauded the Reggae Marathon as a world-class event that is boosting the resort town's economy.

"The Reggae Marathon has been a major contributor in filling the rooms which 15 years ago remained empty as we awaited the start of the winter tourist season on December 15," said Issa. The hotelier was the main speaker at the official launch of the Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K, which took place recently at the Altamont Court Hotel in New Kingston.
