Rottweilers used to punish man - Neighbour gets stitches after being locked up with vicious dogs

A dog owner accused of locking a neighbour in his backyard charging his pets to attack the unsuspecting man, received bail when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on Monday around 5:30 p.m. when the accused, Kirkland Thompson, charged with unlawful wounding, called the male complainant to visit his house.

Thompson, the court heard, tricked the complainant into coming to his backyard where he locked him in the area with three dogs.

According to court documents, Thompson then instructed his Rottweilers to bite the complainant.

In an attempt to escape the attacks, the complainant ended up in a struggle with the accused who, the court heard, used a knife to keep him at bay.

A struggle allegedly took place between the two, which resulted in the complainant being stabbed in the face and on the hand.

When he finally escaped, the complainant had to seek immediate medical attention for the dog bites to his left leg and the wounds in his face and hand from the knife.

The complainant reportedly received 32 stitches for his various injuries including 20 on his face.

The bites on the complainant's legs were reportedly four inches because of how big the dogs were.

Thompson, the court heard, allegedly told the complainant that the incident was revenge because he believed the complainant had stabbed one of his dogs.
