Firearm seized in Kingston

A team of officers attached to the Kingston Central Police division seized one firearm during an operation on Regent Street, Allman Town, Kingston, yesterday.

Reports are that about 6 a.m. lawmen were in the area when a house, which was occupied by a man, was searched and one Lock 9mm pistol found in a room.

The man was subsequently taken into custody. His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
