Female robber pleads guilty

A woman pleaded guilty to robbery with aggravation when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

Janet Blake was a picture of remorse when she admitted using a knife to rob a female complainant.

Allegations are that Blake accosted the complainant last November in New Kingston and told her to hand over her Samsung Galaxy phone or she would be stabbed.

The complainant gave her the phone but reporting the incident to the police.

Blake was identified, picked up and charged a few days after.

Blake, 29, said she regretted her actions and asked for a light sentence.

She will be sentenced on February 25.
