63-year-old Jamaican man held with ganja in Barbados

A Jamaican senior who was held in Barbados after he passed out 68 packages of cannabis on arrival from Kingston on March 18 will face the District B Magistrate's Court in short order.
Charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of two pounds of cannabis is 63-year-old O'Conner Newton.
According to www.barbadostoday.bb, Newton arrived in Barbados by air and was later interviewed by police.
THE STAR gathered that he was later referred to the state-run Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he passed out 68 packages of cannabis he had ingested.
Reports are that members of the Barbados Drugs Squad formally charged Newton for the offences.
